A delegation from ITOCHU Corporation, Japan visited TDAP and had a meeting with Secretary TDAP. The delegation was headed by Mr.Toru Hisabayashi, General Manager, ITOCHU Corporation. During the meeting the GM, ITOCHU gave a detailed presentation about Textile Revolution -Stable Cotton Supply Longer Fiber and Diversification of textile products.

219 exhibitors will take part from Pakistan in HeimtextilFair, Frankfurt.55 Pakistani companies are participating in Heimtextil Frankfurt 2017 under TDAP pavilion. With a strong increase in the number of exhibitors and all indications suggesting that the new furnishing season will be a good one, Heimtextil started on 10th January 2017 Frankfurt am Main. It is not just the number of home textile exhibitors that has grown in 2017, but also the exhibition space. Heimtextil in Frankfurt is by far the most international event of its kind. From northern Europe to South Africa, from America to Asia

Pakistan will have 219 exhibitors of which 55 exhibitors are participating under the TDAP pavilion in halls 10.0 and 10.3. This will make Pakistan the 4th largest country at the show behind Germany, China and India. His Excellency Mr. JauharSaleem the Pakistani Ambassador in Germany visited the fair on the first day. His excellency met Pakistani Exhibitors and highly impressed with the quality of Pakistani products and high level of display.

The Chief Executive TDAP, Mr. S. M. Muneer met with Mr. AsadSjjad CEO of Halal Development Council (Pakistan) &  International Halal Centre (UAE) regarding Why Pakistan still could not get its share in the Global Halal Economy.

The global Halal Food market alone is more then USD600 per annum and the total Halal market including food  and non-food products is over USD 3 trillion per annum.  India is now the largest Halal meat exporter in the world and Thailand being the largest Halal product exporter with over 125,000 halal certified products, almost  80 – 85% of this trillion dollar turnover is in the hands of non-Muslim countries who enjoy the commercial benefit of the Halal market.

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with Pakistan Customs Authorities has developed a sophisticated online Certificate of Origin Repository System for the issuance of Certificates of Origin under Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) for exports to China. The exporters can now apply for Certificates of Origin online through their WeBOC User ID.
