KARACHI: The 6th Pakistan Expo 2011 has helped Pakistani entrepreneurs to display their products before a large number of potential foreign buyers without spending huge foreign exchange and time visiting these countries.The industry people and exhibitors on Monday expressed gratitude to the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) for arranging a platform under one roof for local manufacturers and their value added products to enter in the global trade. The 6th Expo Pakistan was opened on Friday in five halls at Karachi Expo Centre whereas the hall number 6 was allocated for running fashion shows by leading fashion designers of Pakistan on all the four days.
Overall 295 exhibitors, who are the leading exporters of Pakistan, set up their stalls in Expo Pakistan while 582 plus foreign buyers delegates visited the Expo 2011. The spokesman of the exhibitors said the denim products of have attracted orders more than Rs 500 million from a large number of foreign buyers at the 6th Expo.
He said industry got confirmation of orders from USA, Britain, Russia, Mexico, whose delegates visited stalls at the Expo 2011. He said some of these countries have experienced products for the first time while usual buyers and the new ones have both praised the quality of denim products. Many of the exporters have already been exporting denim and finished denim products to many countries for the last many years.
