PAKISTAN EXPORT GROWS BY 5% IN THE FIRST FIVE MONTHS OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2011-12

Pakistan’s exports during November 2011 were valued at US $ 1.552 billion which was 13 per cent lower than the level of US $ 1.776 billion during November 2010. Imports during November 2011 were valued at US $ 3.729 billion registering a growth of 19 per cent over the level of imports valued at US $ 3.131 billion in November 2010.

Cumulative figure shows that Pakistan’s exports during July-November 2011-12 were US $ 9.434 billion, while in the corresponding period of the last year 2010-11 exports were $ 8.959 billion, which shows 5 per cent growth. Imports during July-November 2011-12 were $ 18.424 billion as compared to $ 15.404 billion during the same period of the year 2010-11, registered a 20 percent growth.
