TFD & Expo Centre Division

Trade Facilitation and Expo Centre Division is responsible to develop general policy proposals for consideration by the federal government to enhance trade. It supports the Ministry of Commerce in preparation of Trade Policy in consultation with Sectoral Divisions and implements the Trade Policy /Federal government initiatives of general nature. TFD is responsible for the issuance of Certificates of Origin and all GSP matters, matters related to Public Relations including media coverage, newspapers, advertisements, printing of all promotion materials, web portal management etc. It Coordinates with the Provincial governments of Sindh & Balochistan in all matters of general nature and with the Ministry of Commerce for implementation of all initiatives related to Domestic Commerce. Management of Karachi Expo Centre and EDF are also part of TFD.

Functional Responsibilities Of TFD & Expo Centre Division

Notification No. TDAP.Estt-1/Reorganization/2019, of even number dated 4th Sept. 2019, the functional responsibilities of TFD & Expo Centre division are given below:

  • Develop general policy proposals for consideration by the federal govt. to enhance trade
  • Support the MOC in preparation of Trade Policy in consultation with Sectoral Divisions
  • Implement the Trade Policy /Federal govt. initiatives of general nature
  • Overall management of the EDF
  • Issuance of Certificates of Origin and all GSP matters
  • Matters related to Public Relations including media coverage, newspapers
  • Advertisements, printing of all promotion materials, web portal management etc.
  • Development and management of Trade Facilitation Centre(s) at all TDAP offices
  • Coordination with the Provincial govts of Sindh & Balochistan in all matters of general nature
  • Coordination with MOC for implementation of all initiatives related to Domestic Commerce
  • Development of Central Data Depository
  • Management of Karachi Expo Centre
  • Any other matters assigned by the TDAP Board and senior management
Annual Plans For TFD
  • Collect and Compile Trade statistics from PBS, Customs, MOC , TDAS and ITC
  • Distribute Trade statistics to sectoral and marketing divisions of TDAP
  • Disseminate statistics to exporters through web portal
  • Trade Statistics of Pakistan till May 2020
