Matiari–Lahore HVDC Transmission Line: This 878 km high-voltage direct current (HVDC) line, operational since September 2021, transmits up to 4,000 MW of electricity from southern Pakistan to Lahore, enhancing the city’s power reliability.
Balloki Power Plant: Located near Lahore, this natural gas-fired plant has a capacity of 1,223 MW and has been operational since 2018.
